Hey there. My first name is Marianne, and I'm from Maryland in the U.S. SilverFox Jams is my musician name I've chosen for myself over a decade ago. I still don't know why I picked that name, and I can only say it was the first thing that came to mind.
Well, to add something interesting I suppose I could theorize that my music muse, in my imagination, is a fox that's a music enthusiast who wears headphones. Perhaps one day I'll draw him. XD
I also write and do sketching, take interesting pictures, and/or do computer art. Being multi-talented is both good and bad for me. Good, because it's really fascinating that I have such a variety of creativity. Bad because I'm not very good at juggling all of them! For a while I was into RP writing on LiveJournal and Dreamwidth with buddies, and then one day I decided to get back into my music. Lo and behold, my music muse reappeared after an unexpected music hiatus in the span of 4 years or so.
I still do creative writing, just not as much; poetry, and lyrics. My artsy side is constantly on, then off, then back on again at irregular times.
I'm a gamer, both video gamer and board gamer. I've been leaning a little more into the board gaming because it's how I get to have fun with my mom and our hilarious friends on Friday evenings. There's about 5 to 6 core members, and now a few newcomers and semi-regulars! It's been six years since my mom and I first met the first organizer of the meetup I met one day at my book shop. (That's a long story to save for another time. :3)
My personality type is ISFJ, though I'm moderately introverted. I like socializing, but not too much, and the more I have fun the more tired I feel afterwards.
I have interest in some comics, though not all of them I read are mainstream like Marvel and DC. Recently I've reread this really beautiful and fun one for all ages by 3rd World Studios titled Finding Gossamyr which in short is about an autistic boy who's a math whiz and his older sister who takes care of him find themselves trapped in an alternate universe where math is literally magic. Both the art and the story are so good!
I also read a handful of manga (some I've reread) and anime (some I still watch again and again). I also like some American animated shows and films. (I've been so behind on rewatching Samurai Jack on Adult Swim! I've been busy.)
Music-wise, I listen to a bit of a variety when it comes to genre; all electronic genres, rock and a bit of heavy metal, show tunes, soundtrack material, J-rock and J-pop, a little bit of disco funk, and jazzy instrumentals. My music taste reflects on the music I do; I never stick with one music genre.
Lastly, I'm not new to forums in general, but I am still relatively new to Proboards, and I love this forum service! It's just the kind of forum I wanted to go with my special website. I'll advertise it in the correct forum though. Soon.
