I would like to request a plugin that updates your messages in real time both on the forum by putting a (1) or what have you on the messages area, and then a (1) in the browser window. I would like to be able to customize the notification numbers with CSS. Thank you for your time!

Brian, or David Clark, can you please move this thread to the Request a Plugin board? I accidentally put this into the Plugins board. Thank you!

I actually just saw it. My Staff was wondering though if it could be 'changed', I guess is the best way to put it, and they wanted me to put this up. We talked about it and we came to the decision that I put up the request. They saw that Plugin, we used it a while, and it didn't come up to what we all wanted, if that makes any sense. It didn't update automatically, they said. They had to refresh their browsers and that is the only time that it would come up. Sometimes it wouldn't come up at all, though, they said. Thank you for bringing that to my attention, again, though, @tacochunk!

A plugin isn't going to be able to automatically add the notification ( against the rules of plugins and I'm not sure the data is available without an ajax call ) , it'd only do it on a page refresh or change.

It's against the rules of Plugins, Pebble? I didn't know that. I didn't see that in the rules. Thank you for that information
