Graphics Design Library

I was thinking, there should be a Graphics Design Library board, for those that would like to share their images with others to be able to post them.

I for one, have a few image sets I had made, that I'd love to post for people to get.

We do, although no one has added to it for quite some time and not a library per say:

support.proboards.com/thread/167817/premade-graphics-database

Just PM me (or another mod) if you have something you'd like to add.

(It also looks like some updating needs to be made as it appears more images have vanished since the last time I cleaned it up.)

Tumbleweed, would be nice to have a board where we could post, is what I mean.
Or to have that one unlocked where we could add to it.
PM'ing someone our images to be added, is not really the greatest way to post, as it cuts out any discussions or "Thank you"s or likes for the person who shared them.

I'm going to bring this up to all staff to see if they think doing a revamp of how we share graphics is something we want to pursue. (I'd personally be happy to do the revamping) There hasn't been an interest in such a long time I'm really not sure if there is enough interest now either,  but it could be some people don't even know that graphic sharing exists. I have no issue with trying to give graphic sharing a boost by revamping. I'll get back to you as soon as I get some thoughts from staff and meanwhile any one else reading this thread feel free to post if you are interested and think about how you'd like to see it work.

My thoughts on it.

I like the idea of each members contributions being in a separate post so we can utilize the V5 like system.

I do think we might want to have some control over what gets posted.

I'm not keen about letting members create their own thread but would rather keep everything in one thread without any cumbersome thank you's in-between.

If we ever got to the point where people were contributing like crazy, then and only then would organizing everything into some sort of "library" make sense, imo.

Well, if do it so each person has their own thread, it could be for multiple shares from each person. It also could make it easier to keep track of each person, as they could link people to their one thread for the types of images they have there, if people request something similar.

As for control, could always do something like post moderation, on the board. I'm sure the admins could come up with a way for any and all posts in that board to be moderator approved, before displaying.

Adding to the discussion here: if you had a board members could submit their graphics for the database, you could monitor the posts that way. Then only move threads to that specific database after approving them. Another idea would be to allow members to create one thread with wit own premade images directory that only they or staff could update or post in if that is possible. That way with each thread they can add their graphics on a bi post basis and you could avoid the in between comments as you would be trying to do. Just my two cents I apologize if I interrupted you guys.

You take your time. I just wanted you to be aware that we didn't forget about your idea so it's there whether you come back in a few months or tomorrow. But sure to read the rules as we are a bit strict, so we can keep quality images in there, which I'm sure yours are.

Awesome, as soon as I can figure out how to fix my graphic OUTPUT on this mac, I'll get back into designing.
