Request - Custom backgrounds

Hey there, I was wondering if it was possible to set custom background colors in the css for different groups and apply to Mini Profiles and normal forum posts as well.

I was thinking like like moderators have a red background for their posts and administrators have a golden background.

But I can't get them to separate into different groups.
