Auto Bookmark

Hi people,

i'm planning on running a trading forum.
now to make this forum work at its best i need some kind of plugin that as soon as a thread is created, its bookmarked for you so you receive notifications for posts.

is there such thing?
is it even possible?

I might be wrong, but I thought bookmarks were always one of those "opt-in" choices?

If it's against the rules, perhaps you can add a setting in the profile for the user to turn on the auto-bookmark feature. That way it's not against the rules. If that is the case, I still don't think that would be a really hard plugin to make.

Sorry Wormopolis, saw the tag yesterday and meant to reply but got distracted. But you're correct.

sorry it was a long day, i was meant to say it like this:
user 1 creates thread
and user 2,3,4 automatically get that thread bookmarked, even though they have not seen the thread and bookmarked it themselves

so basically they get notifications of everything and i mean absolutely everything.

does that make sense?
i'm really bad at wording things.

Oh, well that's impossible to do anyways. User 2,3,4 must visit the page for it to be bookmarked - even auto bookmarked

bookmarks have to be opted in anyways. forcing bookmarks on members is not allowed.

With that concept, if you get much traffic you would be on the forum 24/7, no plugin needed to do that
