I will also add that since before the original post here my forum is ad-free. So all the ducks are in line. Ad-free. admin>structure>headers and footers>global header and footer>and pasted the code in from Adsense in the top header. And all I get is a space for something something? ? The space for the ads is between the nav tree and the news feed bar. Somebody has to know how to fix this!!! Please....

It appears you have this worked out. I see ads and they appear to be from Google. My understanding is it does take a bit to generate the ads, not that that was your issue. And apologies for not seeing your post sooner.

It took almost 4 days for the ads to appear. I tried every possible option thinking it was me. All I was getting was the blank boxes that the ads would be in. And then on day 3 3/4 ads started showing up. So all is done and working as it should. Thanks Tumbleweed. This was purely a Google Adsense activation of services delay.
