This template modification is for forums that have the quick reply enabled.
To enable the quick reply, go to
Admin Control Panel > Settings < Forum Settings > Forum > Boards & Threads
The Quick Reply automatically disappears from locked threads for regular members, but remains visible on locked threads for staff members who have permission to edit threads. If you would like to remove the quick reply from locked threads for all members (including staff), follow these instructions...
Go to
Admin Control Panel > Themes > Layout Templates > Thread
Find this code:
(It should be located on the bottom line by default)
And replace it with this code:
*Note that, the 'Reply' button remains at the top of the thread across from the thread title for staff members. If this code is implemented to remove the quick reply on locked threads, staff will still be able to reply to the thread via the 'Reply' button located at the top of the thread.
