Hello there!
I am new to Proboards and have searched the plug-in database to see if someone has created a plug-in that may help at least somewhat automate one critical aspect of moderation for the forum I am managing.
Is it possible to develop a plug-in that, in some way, detects posts with certain keywords or phrases and quarantines them so other members cannot see them? Ideally, I'd also want to have a message sent to an external email address, but that seems like it would be difficult.
The reason for this plug-in would be to help moderate a patient-run mental health skills discussion board, to avoid patients managing/crisis-counseling suicidal members who post threats on the board. We want to at least hide those posts automatically to avoid triggering other members. It would be even better if the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline email address could be alerted as well, to call the member. At the very least, we'd like a pop up window to show them the number of the crisis hotline when they try to submit the post.
Hopefully this post gives you the general idea of what I am trying to do. I don't know how much of this is feasible. Please let me know if you can! Thank you!
