Is it possible for a post comment to be marked as new?

When a post is replied to people see the word new.
Post Comments not showing up as new means people do not know that a post comment was posted.

Not directly. It is possible with a plugin by P̌̓aͧś̀t̀u͒le͆o͂2̀3̃̓ called Interest Notification Centre.

It won't display the word "new" next to new comments, but it will notify the user of new comments.

Thanks. This looks awesome. Do i just install it and then all new notifications show up in interests? Or will the be in both locations?

Install it, in the top navigation bar there will be a popout menu. In there it will tell you who made a comment and clicking on it will bring you there, similar to facebook notifications. This will not work with any existing comments, but will start working for any new comments made. So have someone make a comment on your profile and you should see it. I believe I disabled notifications for commenting on your own comments (because those are redundant)
Also if you have a bunch of notifications before you check them, some might disappear before you see them all. This is because there are a limited amount of notifications that can be stored.

Ok thanks. I have another account i use for testing. I posted a comment to one of my admin posts and it didnt trigger a notification. Ill try it again.

Problem, mange to get comment plugin to work but no comment and cancel button to confirm it

it is due to interference with other plugins? or am i doing something else wrong?

please forgive me for english is not my first language..

I dont know what you mean by getting it to work but it has no comment. Disable all other plugins except post comments to see if it works correctly. If it does it clashes with another plugin. If not the problem lies elsewhere.

Try'd it.. it is not clashing with other plugins i disabled every one except post comments but i still see no button to confirm or cancel such additional posts so any options?

Have you enabled the Button or the Input in the settings. You can only have one or the other. The plugin does not cancel posts, only allows additional comments on each post. Beyond that I'm not sure what you're asking.

Is it possible to get notifications for when your post is commented just like you get a notification when your post is quoted?

I visited the thread to check for two things. One was about notifications and i see it is already solved by "Interests Notification Center". The second has to do with checking all the comments. Is there a way to view them in a list? It is something i consider either by adding on a siderbar for all members to view or just to have a list so Forum Staff can be able to check what was written.

Glad you like it.

There's no way to view all the comments together, except in the post they were written. This is because the post key where they are saved is only available when viewing that post.

Would there be any way to allow members to delete any comment on their own post, or any member to delete any comment?
