I hope someone can point me in the right direction. What I'm trying to do is have different themes that members can choose from. I don't want to just change color schemes but graphic designs as well. I plan on adding different graphics for each separate theme. Right now I have a side navigation bar that has graphics which are links to various pages on my board. Currently, I have all that coded as HTML into my global header/footer. After messing around with it I realize that I'm going to have to change that since it won't change with different themes. My question is where should I put that coding at? I think I'm going to have to change it to CSS (unless there's a way to keep the HTML) and either add it to the Style Sheet, or Layout Template. Where is the best place to put it? I'm looking for a quick easy way to do it without wasting too much time. Any ideas on how to go about it would be appreciated. Thank you so much for your help in advance. Forum: ESB

That is an awesome side menu you have there. What you can do, because I can understand wanting to keep it In your headers, is add some classes to your links:
Like for one of those you'd have this: (You'd remove the image and replace with the blue)
<a href="http://www.espritsb.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=register"><div class="my_nav1"></div></a>
And then since you have a style sheet for every theme, you can just go add the css for that class and just for one theme:
.my_nav1{background-image:url('http://i1321./u554/esbimages/leftmenu/lmjoin.jpg'); background-repeat:no-repeat;width:174px;height:31px; }
But if I were you, I'd create a test site so you can do all the changing on there before transferring it to your regular forum.

Thank you Tumbleweed. This looks really promising. I'll definitely will be trying this out on a test site. I'll let you know how it goes.

Drego is a friend of mine and is part of my forum. I think he may have accidentally confused this post with our advertisement post. Please ignore bump.
On another note, your solution is working perfectly for what I needed. I may have some questions on other similar issues, but I'm still looking into figuring it out myself. If I can't I know where to come.
Y'all are all awesome here! Thank you so much for your help, Tumbleweed. It's appreciated.

Okay, I have a follow up question related to this thread. I now have three different themes and plan to add a few more in the near future. Is it possible to create a separate link to each theme from a custom page (or other places on the forum)?
I'd like to add a custom page that is a menu to showcase all the possible themes and be able to select a theme by clicking on an imaged link.
Thank you so much for your time and help.

I don't know of a way you could have the link handy on a custom page to switch themes. The closest I can think of to do that is take screen shots of each theme and post them on a custom page and then you could use this plugin... support.proboards.com/thread/441360/yootil-theme-changer...and if I understand the code right (haven't tried it) , it'll put another icon in your PBN bar (the little icons at the bottom right corner that allows you to switch sites/accounts) where you can change themes there. That plugin also needs the Yootil plugin and the Yootil needs to be the first plugin. You can download these plugins straight to your site through your admin panel. If that won't work for you then keep bumping this every 24 hours and maybe someone else will have some idea how you could do that.

That not exactly what I wanted, but it's definitely a cool option to have. It makes changing themes a lot easier and faster. I'll definitely be adding that to the forum. What I want may not even be possible and if that's so I completely understand. But if this is possible it would definitely be cool to have a plugin for it. If anyone else has ideas on how this can be done I'd appreciate any tips you can give.
