Backgrounds

I've been collecting some backgrounds to start making my themes but when I try to download them onto my test site, it won't let me. A friend told me I may have to make them smaller and suggest 1mb. So what is that in width and height?

Your help will be appreciated.

That wouldn't be a width and height thing. Usually in your graphics program you can see what size it is in kb or mb when you go to open the file on your computer. Often when uploading an image via your themes, when you get to the images on your computer and hover over the image it will tell you the size in mb or kb. But of you want to optimize your image (make it smaller in bytes) then this is a great site to do that on as it gives you different choices.
