Changing Theme

If I download a theme. How do I get ALL my board settings to the new theme ?.

Example, The shoutbox is on every forum page with the new theme, On old theme it just show on the main page.

And I have Admin edits not to show on the old theme, On the new theme it shows I did a edit.

So far I downloaded and deleted the new theme about 4 times so far. I can't get it like my old theme settings.

Hi, @bocadmin.

Most of those are template modifications, not settings. That means that you'd need to make those same template modifications to the corresponding sections of the new theme.

You better have a few beers if you're gonna help me. This should be fun setting this up... LOL.

In Themes > Layout Templates > Forum Wrapper find the $[shoutbox] line and change it to this:

{if $[route.name] == "home"}
$[shoutbox]
{/if}

In Themes > Layout Templates > Thread > Post List find this line:

{if $[post.edited]}

And change it to this:

{if $[post.edited] && $[post.edited.by_user.id] != 1}
