Board List Remodel With JS

Alright, I had an idea for my board and I was told that a plugin was not needed and it could be done with javascript, but I have very, very little experience with js..

I would like to have selected categorys organize the boards to look like this with each one having a different default image:




Where if you hover over the board name, the main image is replaced only for the duration that the cursor is over the board name:
(shows 7 lines.. I miscounted in my hasty scribbling, should be able to hold up to 8 boards in a 800 x 500 area)




I can probably get the layout an all the collapseable divs in place (given a few hours) but for me the tricky part would be having only select boards have this layout while others have a different one (in character vs out of character boards) Would any one be able to help me with this?


Edit: I think I can set up the table with the change able div, I'll just need help with the JS it will just take me a bit of time to set it up, I'll update in a few days when I have the table.

when you put the cursor over the boards on the left, then that board pic shows on the right

yes, it is a roll-over effect, when the cursor is over the name of the board, the category image fades to the board picture and information.

And, there's an edit button, no need to post two times in a row XD

i like the idea, i could use this myself.

does all this template building take a long time ? is it diffecult ?
