Update: I just realized it's only frozen in the main page but works fine in any sub-board or even in the pm page. So something in the main page is conflicting with the plugin and stopping the scrolling.

Hi, saltin. Editing this post because I didn't see the new one on this page. I'll take a look. What version of the marquee are you running?

Hi, saltin. Editing this post because I didn't see the new one on this page. I'll take a look. What version of the marquee are you running? Ver 1.1.1 is what I have, using chrome on a mobile.I am thinking about possibly moving the plugins around and see if there is any change. It might also be the news ticker that's interfering,it's kind close to the location of the marquee and the ticker only runs in the front page where the problem is.I'll disable tonight and see if that helps any.

The forum's news feed shouldn't be interfering at all. I have both running on my forum (the one you previously mentioned). I did notice that on the home page, it's not showing the <div> for the scrolling as seen on other pages. Do you, by chance, have any other HTML running that uses an id="m1" anywhere on the home page? There can only be one ID per page, and if you've got something else that uses that ID after the plugin, it may be causing the non-scroll issue. I'll do a bit more digging tomorrow. Going on midnight here and brain not functioning the best right now.

Hey, saltin. The issue had me stumped, so I had to call in the heavy artillery (MUCH thanks to Chris for the help!) and the problem was found. It seems that your affiliate code also has an mq in it, which is what the marquee uses. As such, it's causing a conflict between the 2 codes - the marquee and the affiliates.

Ohh yes,it's working as it should now.So my tech support is also getting tech support! That's great, team work FTW! It was Easy affiliate table plugin from the library that was conflicting. This might be a common issue with other users of your plugin too since easy affiliate is a popular plugin. I disabled the other plugin for now but eventually I might want to use both so the question is there an easy way to fix the conflict (ie: example go to structure, edit line XX)? If not that's fine I'll just pick another affiliate method that wont interfer with the marquee. Anyways..thanks for your assistance and thumb up for Chris too.

The Forum Marquee is getting overhauled, and Chris showed me a way of how to code it to (hopefully) prevent this type of conflict again with any other plugin. Unfortunately, there's no easy fix that you can do, as it's the way the JS is currently coded - meaning I need to change the JS. Since I don't know how long the overhaul is going to take, I will very seriously consider throwing out a minor fix that should, at least, prevent the conflict until I can get 2.0.0 done. I'll post here with an update.

Hey, saltin. Could you try out Version 1.1.2 and let me know if it plays nicely with the Easy Affiliate Table please? Thanks! NOTE to Users of this plugin: This does not fix the spacing issue. This was a fix due to a conflict. I'm still working on the new version that will use autoforms - which will have the spacing issue fixed. Thanks for your understanding.

I just tried v 1.1.2 and it doesn't scroll. I'm going to be gone today and tomorrow. I'll be back on Friday and I'll take a look then. In the interim, you may want to use version 1.1.1 or 1.1.0 until I've had a chance to look at it when I get back. Sorry for the inconvenience.

This is a notice to anyone who may be watching this thread.
I'm re-writing the entire JS for this. I'm hoping to have a Beta 2.0.0 out this weekend (12 / 12-13 / 15). I'll post here when it's available to download. You'll need to download it (once available) from the OP of this thread. I would like to have people testing it before I submit it to the library.
As a note: Due to an entire JS re-write, the initial release of 2.0.0 will be a bare-boned version (i.e.: no color selections). Speed and Separator will still be included. Once I'm sure this works (via your feedback), I'll work on adding the color options back in. Thanks for your understanding.

Are you using CSS3 transform and transitions?

Are you using CSS3 transform and transitions? No. The "original" code I had for the marquee was one I found online with modifications so it would work as a plugin. Since I haven't found a solution to the spacing issue with that code, I'm starting over. The main difference is this will use autoforms instead of having a "fixed" amount of 6 maximum text lines - of which the current version uses. I'll also be getting away from the HTML component.
