You want them just in the same "box" so there isn't that line dividing them or like side by side? O.K. read your post again and you do want them side by side.
Go to your home template:
Admin> Themes> Layout Templates>Home
Now go to about line 69 and find this and change the colspan to 1: <td colspan="2"> <table> <tr> <td class="icon">$[image.online]</td> <td class="info last"> <table>
Next sroll down to about line 92 and find this..... and comment out the </tr> and <tr> tags and change the colspan to "1":
</td> <!--</tr> <tr class="last">--> <td colspan="2"> <table> <tr> <td class="icon">$[image.online_24]</td>
And that should be all you need to do unless you want to resize the widths a bit.
