There are three queries that I have, I hope you don't mind. We'll start at the start with area 1. All ideas are welcome and no advice is stupid advice, so don't be shy. What I am hoping to do is reach a sort of visor effect with my border, background and sidebar. Area 1: Anything inside this is the forum content except for the banner, background and sidebar. So JUST the forum itself. I'm hoping to make that area scrollable too so it's like you're looking up and down in the visor? Area 2: The sidebar, I was actually hoping that somehow this could show the users mini profile with a couple additional features as I want it to show the characters "vitals". Area 3: I want to turn this into a background completely, overtop of the main forum and under the sidebar. Can i do this? Is it possible? Also badges are things right so i could make some that could be key items they pick up in the roleplay game, correct? Thank you all SO much for helping me. I didn't know where to put this btw, plugins or headers or footers or the one for templates. It's just a little bit of everything. *blows kiss* MWAH! Cheers, mate! P.s - There might be other things to talk about later, like turning the forum information part into hover notes or some sort of slide up/peekabo tabs. Will have to think about that, creating an interface layout isn't easy.

I would move this to templates. I'll take a look at it but no promises, but I think a lot of this could be done modifying html and css in templates.

one of the admins have to do it. I can tell you already that the curve on the top of the forum can be done using border radius. I think you need to know the same thing I'm actually waiting on a reply which is how to offset the forum versus the sidebar (since I'm putting a sidebar on my forum as well). Once I get a reply I'll take another stab at your request..because I'm pretty sure it'll be a lot of the same coding I'm already doing but different dimensions.

That would be fantastic, I'm still learning html and everything, just working on a programming course, but my ideas are way ahead of my current skill level. *is determined* And I only learn by doing anyway. Thank you very much for your help and hopefully an admin will see this and move it for me.

So televisionmouth, I've began working on this and a lot of it seems very possible. The only thing that makes me worry is if you have advertisement banners on your board (which you can certainly remove by paying for it), sometimes the banner might overlap the curve on section 1 where it curves on the side. If you remove these banners, it won't be a problem. This is the most basic example of what you asked for: It can be viewed at tiffystestforum.freeforums.net/. If I'm going to continue coding in everything for the profiles and the real look of it though I'd need more specifics, but yes, I think I've proved it all can be done. <3

That's looking great~ And I see your point, yeah I can just arrange for a paid forum. that's no problem for me in the long run. I'm still not a hundred percent sure about what I want in the profile yet, as it's going to be detailed as well as have different images etc. Can we leave that until I decide exactly what I need in it? I can add you if you like on here and contact you when I've got that far?
Thank you so much!

Hey, Tiffy-BeanOkay so now i have some time to work on it between school work and I was going over what you have done. It really is amazing, you think it's possible to make the container/wrap a specific size and scrollable rather than the page rolling down?

It really is amazing, you think it's possible to make the container/wrap a specific size and scrollable rather than the page rolling down? Definitely possible. I actually tried this before I made it not that way because I wasn't sure if that was what you wanted. Give me a little time to play with the scroll bar, but yes, it's possible. Do you want it all visible on a small screen? I was also thinking you might want to curve the navigation bar and everything up top so it matches the border of the forum. As long as you're patient with me on fulfilling these requests for you, then I don't mind helping.

Oh that is looking good. I ended up getting rid of the scrollbar on mine with:
::-webkit-scrollbar { display: none; width: 0; }
It doesn't work on them all. How did you get the main window to stay still? And is there a way to center it all? Also, I have no idea how to do the sidebar, is there a link tot he code you used?

in order to get the scrollbar in the layout without messing with the curved radius..you have to put it in the forum wrapper. I put mine <div style="height:350px; overflow:auto; margin-top:20px;"> before the content tab that looks like this <div id="content" role="main"> . You can margin it how you want, but I margined it to fit into the curve nicely. I like the oblong border you did on the one you showed me. It's really neat, but obviously if you look at mine I was just copying what you first presented to me. Neat that you got the banner above but what are you going to do about your navigation menu or are you going to leave it off and link in your own navigation?
as in using all div codes make sure you close a div where you want it to end. In this case I just put the divide code before the body close tag.

I'm going to be creating a new navigation menu down the bottom of the page perhaps, either that or I will make peekaboo-type tabs down the bottom like a gaming menu.
I do like yours (my original shape) and I had mine like that at first then decided to change it up a bit because I wasn't so happy with it. But yes, I just need to put the sidebar in next so that I'll be able to work around the page more. Could you help me with a link or the code you used and instructions? Even just a plain tabbed fixed sidebar, I like it, it looks like magic and is just what i need to work with.
