Prohibit users from removing text in shoutbox

Is there a way that I can stop users from removing their shouts from the shoutbox?

We have a few users who like to do that, but we end up with an answer, whereas the question belonging to it has been removed by the user that posted the question...

You can try removing the $[shoutbox_post.delete_button] variable from Themes > Layout Templates > Shoutbox > Individual Posts on each of your themes.

Since only a select number of shoutbox posts can exist within the shoutbox at any given time there's no other way to restrict this since the posts will likely automatically vanish once the shoutbox is populated with more posts.
