if I'm coding in a sidebar, how do I offset it off to the right of my forum? In other words, how do I move the rest of the forum over to make room for it?

Well I thought I Fixed it, but it looks great on my screen and a friend with a wider screen says it's off. Is there a way to margin it right up against the content of the message board without it being based on margins of the screen? I want this to float right next to the board, pressed up against it. Is that what kind of html I should be using? Float? Help, please.

I am really curious as to how you figured this out. We are trying to do this on our site because the sidebar keeps going into the actual board design and messing the entire thing up so we wanted it the way that you have yours. We just can't figure out how to do it. Any chance you could help us out or point us in the right direction pretty please?
