You appear to be on older versions of both plugins. I would recommend updating both.

Keep in mind that if you update the NPC Profiles plugin any mini-profiles you created for your NPCs will go away, so you might want to install the add-on plugin in the first post of its support thread and copy those over if you customized their mini-profiles at all.

On my test forum I have the NPC Profiles plugin before the Custom Mini-Profile Creator plugin and it still replaces the mini-profile correctly despite running before it.

There's a multitude of examples I could give but the concepts within them wouldn't change.

I've explained as many aspects of the plugin as I can within its help window (all of which has been copied to this thread on my forum). What your ability to create your own mini-profiles ultimately comes down to is whether or not you're proficient at the three languages involved in the plugin.

Can you provide a link to the forum in question? I'm unable to diagnose the issue with just a screenshot.

Edit: Nevermind, I found it.

You added the code from the plugin to the Default theme instead of Dark Theme. Make sure you have the correct theme selected in the dropdown at the top of Themes > Layout Templates > Mini-Profile and try again. Also, make sure you're adding the code after the closing </div> tag.

I can't seem to get the plugin working. I edited my mini profile template as suggested and ensured (on the default theme) that the loop is the same as the plugin requirement. I've added the member profile drop downs, but they don't seem to be working. Whenever I add Example 1, Example 2 and Example 3 and go to apply them the edit profile page seems to force me to want to change my password. I'm not sure what to do. Perhaps it's because I'm using forums.net? I will submit a ticket there as well.

On the off chance anyone had the problem I experienced, the problem was that my browser had saved my password to log in the forum and was auto-filling that field in the profile tab. Deleting that before saving my changes was all that was needed to get things working as expected.

The image you specify will always show at its original size, so it's appearing as gray because the part of the image that is visible contains just that.

In Plugins > Manage > Custom Mini-Profile Creator try adding a new line after this line in Example 3's CSS section:

.mini-profile.test-mp3 {

And adding a background-size property to that new line:

background-size: cover;

This won't make your image fit perfectly (since it's a square and the mini-profile is a rectangle) but it'll be mostly visible regardless of size.

Thank you very much for answering me but I finally found the issue xD so I deleted my post... I found the solution in the page 20 of this thread, where you say that the avatar is what it needs to be the 170x325 size !

Until now I was constantly changing the link from the CSS code... hahaha, oh god... Anyway, thank you !

Hi, I'm here again...

Last time I realised how to set the avatar for the Example 3 profile, but can I put a png image over the background so both the background and avatar image are shown ??

When I set a normal 150x150 avatar, the background image from the CSS code can be seen in the mini-profile without the avatar. But when I set a png avatar that's exactly 170x325 from an external link, only that avatar will be shown, without the background.

Here are the images before and after setting the png avatar:

adleymd, only one image ever exists in Example 3. If your avatar isn't big enough the default background will be used. If your avatar meets the size of the mini-profile the background will be replaced with your avatar. There is no combination of two images in it.

If you want to change it to work that way you're more than free to, but that's entirely on you as I do not offer design assistance in this thread.

Make sure you have the correct theme selected in the Current Theme dropdown at the top of the Mini-Profile layout template before adding that element to it. Templates are theme-specific.
