Profile Layout Issue

I didn't have enough time to take a peek, but status updates should not be members-only (unless the profile in question is, I guess?). I'll take a closer look when I can!

Thanks David! I know several people are looking forward to using this layout. I don't want to post it for mass use until it's working correctly lol

We may be waiting on David Clark for a while. He's a busy man... LOL

In the mean time, I'll keep messing with it and try to debug the issue. You can try too if you like. Maybe if we put our minds together we can come up with a fix for this. I'm sure @seriously really wants to use the template mod I made for her.

I called you mandy. Apologies if you're averse to that name! Some people don't like the shorted version  I have a friend called Allison who hates being caleld Alli - AND vice versa!

So the issue is that status updates are not showing to guests, Teg? Can you switch your custom theme back to the default so I can see it as a guest?

Sorry, I added the template to the custom theme as I'm having issues with something else on the custom theme too.     


The issue is that status' are not showing at all for users when I use the code on my main forum. It only works for the admin account... And guests aren't able to see them at all.

Looks like you might have the personal text wrapped in the following {if} statement on the User Profile template:

{if $[can.update_status]}



This makes it so the text only shows if you can UPDATE that text, which will only be true if it's your own profile. Try removing that check and seeing if it works!
