Hello,
I'm currently making a simple Android game for my university project and I need help with designing some graphics for the game. I'll try to describe the game a bit in the next paragraphs.
It’s a classic strategy turn-based game, played with multiple opponents using a network connection.
Each game field is a hexagon, each representing a specific entity. I need some simple graphics for the hexagons. I need
3 tower fields - these would represent control points
3 house fields - these represent people working for you (making money)
3 military fields - these represent entities to attack (something with fence, military symbols or similar)
I want each of the fields in three versions, to represent different advancement of the field - the smallest tower is the basic one, the biggest (and possibly a bit different) the advanced one.
The field icons should be colorable (at least partly) to represent different player’s color.
I also need a game launcher icon, that kind that displays in the application list. My idea for that was probably that tower icon (as it is the crucial field) and something representing time in the corner (like a small clock icon) - the reason is that the game is designed to limit you in your turn time a lot.
Here, I am attaching three of the bitmaps I currently use - one is a blank border tile (used as a base for all fields) and the second one is the current version of empty (grass) field. I’m attaching the first two images (the third one is made by applying a layer on second one) at the bottom of the document. Also, when the field is selected, the border is replaced with a thicker, more colorful one and the “thickness” is propagated to the center (seen on third), so when designing the graphics, please try to not stick it to the border too much.
The second attachment is blank border, in case you'd need to use it.
If you wish to know anything more in order to help me, feel free to ask for it.
Thanks a lot in advance,
Salmelu
