Add box to show disclaimer at head of specific fora.

Afternoon,

I wish to add a disclaimer at the top of specific fora on the above site.



Something like the above - the yellow highlighted area needs to appear permanently above the various threads.

How do I do that?

Hi,

go to:

Admin >> Structure >> Headers & Footers (/admin/structure/headers) >> go to the board you want to add the disclaimer at

in the "Header" section add this:

<div class="container">
<div class="title-bar" style="text-align:center;"><h2>TITLE HERE</h2></div>
<div class="pad-all" style="background-color:yellow;">
SOME TEXT HERE
</div>
</div>

edit the bold sections.

repeat for additional boards.

Well, I got pretty close, but I haven't quite won myself a cigar.



Typed it all in and proof read several times, leading to this:



Title has worked a treat and it seems to have created the space, but no background and text.

I've done it wrong, haven't I?

If you highlight that empty space your text is there. It is just the same color as your background so add a color to this:

<div class="pad-all" style="background-color:yellow; color:white;">

Actually, not sure why the yellow background color isn't showing. Hmmm. Edit, actually you have a colon after the yellow instead of a semi-colon. (Should be like the red part above.)

Yes, thank you, that has produced the text. Fiddly, precise stuff is code, which I confess to no in-depth knowledge of.

I should stick to repairing domestic appliances and playing with cars.
