Forum URL: psychic-psyghtings.proboards.comI assume that this would go into the Board's Header and Footer section and that it's JS. I have another variation for the create a thread page, like what's here on the Support Board. I was wondering what the exact code was and how I could implement it so it's only on one board. Thanks so much!

Can someone please move this to the Coding Board? I was in a hurry and I thought that that's where I posted this. My bad!

Alan VendeI'm actually getting the answer for you and a simpler way to do it than the way we're doing it here. Give me just a few more minutes please.

It just occurred to me, though, that I put it in the Support Board. I do that a lot, I guess. It's at the top of the forum. I always veer to it.

Alan VendeNo worries. Brian added this to the quick reply last night by modifying some existing code already in use for support. And of course Brian is off today and tomorrow to assist me. I pulled in a dev (since I don't code) and they said they can offer an easier solution for you rather than the code we use here. I'm just waiting for them to get out of a meeting. I'll get back to you shortly. And just to confirm, you want this for just one board and not your whole site?

He gave me the code I use for my Help Centre Board and that's pretty much where I want to put the code for the Quick Reply so people know not to reply to a support thread about my forum unless they know the answer (much like here). At the moment, I can't think of another board that this would go on and I don't think that it would go on my whole forum. If there is ever a need for it on the whole forum, rest assured that I will be back to bug ask you Thank you for the help, Scott (and devs)!

Alan VendeOk. so are you ready for this??? LOL Go to Admin>Themes>Layout Templates, Thread - Quick Reply Tab. At the bottom add this code:You will need to change 3 things: 1) for the line "if (board_id == 1) {" change the "1" to whatever the board ID is that you want this to affect. 2) Replace " This is some text" with whatever your message is. 3) Between the style tags, add the css to stylize your message Hope this is all makes sense. Good luck!

I assume since it's in the theme that I have to do it to all themes, correct?

Good question. I would say yes. Are you able to switch themes to test that? The dev that helped me is in another meeting, so I can't ask at the moment.

I think I already know the answer without testing. I just wanted to ask to make sure and also to have that piece for record if someone wants to do the same as me and they come across this thread. Sorry if I'm not making sense now.

Alan VendeYou're making perfect sense (at least to me, scary lol ). And I applaud your way of thinking, keeping the information in the thread complete.

I assume since it's in the theme that I have to do it to all themes, correct? You probably already put it in all your themes but since that is just javascript designating the board you want it on and css, you could have put it in your global headers to affect that board on all themes.
