No problem. I just wanted to be sure you understood what I did.
So you're cool and get what I'm saying, that all you need to do is change the background color for the theme you are creating and the image will take on that color? That nothing more needs to be done? Now I am that I realize it's a PNG. Thanks so much for your help and explanation(s), ♥ ℒʊ√ ♥!

You're welcome, Alan Vende .
I figured keeping it a .png with a transparent background would be best so you could use it anywhere you chose over any background you chose.

I'm now like a kid in a candy store with all the things I can do with the background, haha! I'm going to be experimenting and there may be a few themes that come out of this experimentation! (I just have to cut it down a bit so my forum doesn't slow down ) I've noticed as I add more and more things that my forum slows down a smidgen (such as a new plugin or more code that the browser has to interpret.) I have tons of ideas rolling through my head!

See, there ya, go. Yes, with the transparent background the possibilities are endless.
I don't have that problem with slow down for plugins or design features. I guess it depends on the speed of your ISP. I'm not a fan of Comcast as a company, but I love their internet speed ~ and I'm just on their "basic"! But quite frankly, I was on dialup for years and didn't have a problem. And as you know, I have very plain themes and very decorated ones.
Have fun implementing your ideas.

Have fun implementing your ideas. They are. I can't wait to explore! I think it depends on the company that one has for their Internet. But my computer probably gets slow because I turn it off a few times a month and restart it - that's what the techs at Apple said, anyway. So it's probably just the memory and so forth. I love all of the themes that you have. It's hard to pick just one! I don't like, though, how busy I've been. I have a few projects on my forum that I am working on and I have been in college for the past three months, so I have only had time to work on mine and not visit any that I'm a member of. I will try to get around to it, though, as soon as I can! Your themes are amazing!

I keep my PC running most of the time ~ rarely restarting it. My laptop is turned off/on when in use. But I don't see a difference in speed doing either.
I hope you're enjoying school. It does keep you busy, but it's a good busy.
Have fun experimenting.

Have fun experimenting. I kept my Toshiba running and, eventually, the fans stopped working and the computer really overheated. I haven't had that problem with my Mac, though, which is great. I have, from time to time, though, found PB being slow. I'm not sure if that was from the memory in my computer being used up or if it was because of how much was being loaded on the webpage on each page load. Thanks so much! I got straight A's (for the classes that counted). I withdrew from one class and then the other course I took gave me a credit, but it didn't add to the credits toward my degree (which was very sad!) I hope my ideas are good!

Great grades. Keep it up.
Since I got my PC (four years ago), I can probably count the times it's been shut off. I always would shut down at the end of the day and my PC guy said that's bad. I know there are two trains of thought on that. But I took his advice. Of course, it goes to sleep after 10 minutes of non-use.
And I wanted my new laptop to be an exact duplicate of my PC ~ and it ran continuously for two days just to copy one folder onto it! But that's shut off when I'm not using it.
What's your speed? I run about 80/100 mbps on the desktop and 60/80 on the laptop. And my ping is great at 11 ms. You want that number to be low.

www.speedtest.net/ Thanks so much! My friends were all worried about me because I wasn't acting like myself and I was all stressed and "high strung" all the time. But if I have those types of grades to show for it, then why not? A few friends I said that too said I was nuts. I put mine to sleep, I don't shut it down all the way. I restart it, but barely ever shut it completely down - even when I'm going to school or going on a road trip, but my computer does the same; it goes to sleep after about 10 minutes of non-use, too. I never thought to check my speed. I can't find where to check it on the site, though.

Well, stress is not good for you, but there are some things in life that are more stressful than others. Do things the way that work best for you and the results you want.
Did this test not load for you on that link? You click the "begin test" button. If it didn't load, then your speed must really be slow.

For some reason, when I loaded the page before, it wasn't showing a Begin Test button, but now it did.
It says that my Ping is 30 ms.
My download speed is 83.09 mbps.
My upload speed is 39.72 mbps.
...Yikes!

The download and upload are fantastic numbers. I don't see why anything is slow to load with numbers like that.
Your upload is phenomenal. Most don't get anywhere near that ~ including me who only gets 10. And Nick was admiring my 10!
Your ping isn't bad either. That's the time needed for the data to travel a certain distance

I meant the Ping because I thought you said that it should be low. That's great that the numbers are good! I was surprised when I read your post because I thought they were bad!

Heck, no. They're good. I get slightly higher most times on the download and a lot lower ping, but not anything of great difference.
Really, a ping under 100 is quite acceptable. You should have no issues at all ~ unless the actual physical memory of your system is low, or the hard drive is near capacity, or something is a resource hog with a high CPU usage.

I don't know, because there were some times I went on TSE and my computer was lagging - I doubt that it's anything that you did, but that's what made me start questioning it's "capacity", so to speak. Thank you for saying that, though!
