How do I insert a photo in the header part of my homepage?

Not sure if this is the right category for my question, if it isn't, I'd like the awesome mods here to move it to the appropriate category.

On my homepage, underneath my forum name - which I think is what would be called the "header" section of the page - I would like to insert a photograph or more than one photograph in a row, between the forum name and the beginning categories of my forum. 


How do I do this???


I tried inserting the URL of the photograph in the Header/Footer admin section, but it didn't work. And, I didn't want to mess with the forum's template by putting in the URL code in the wrong place, so that's why I came here today.

Please, if someone can help me and show me how I can insert a picture (or pictures) along the top header portion of my homepage, I would be SO grateful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

[/a][/code], but in the header section you need to change the brackets '[]' to '<>' so it would look like. <a href="link">name</a> To have multiple pictures just add them in right next to each other to have them in a line.

Thanks so much for responding to my thread, Star's Legacy!!

When I inserted the <a href="http://www.iesmarion.org/sites/default/files/banner/homeless1020.jpg">name</a> code on the first line inside of the Header box in the Headers & Footers section, all that shows up on my homepage is the word "name" - there is NO PICTURE on there!!!!


What am I doing wrong??? My forum goes live in a few hours...and I can't even put a simple photo banner on the header portion of my homepage!!!! Omg...
