Speech Recognition - Navigation [Prototype]

Just a prototype that I create the other day, thought I would post it here if people want to have a little fun.  I say "fun", because when I told it to "go bottom", it thought I was saying "butt".

Chrome only.

A microphone icon top left of screen will show if you are using a browser with the speech API.  Clicking on it will ask you if the page can use your mic (which is only temporary, because of not being over https).

Sometimes the mic can fail, which I think is the API just being a little buggy.

Commands:
   go home
   go profile
   go search
   go messages

   open participated
   close participated

   go bottom
   go top

The last 2 commands have a speed option...

   go bottom 15000

Will scroll for 15 seconds. You can set the number to whatever you tell it.

You can easily add a ton more commands, but it's just a fun prototype.

it doesnt work properly, it only worked on the bottom

Maybe your voice is too squeaky?

If you don't speak clearly, then no, it won't. Just because the speech recognition didn't pick up exactly what you meant to say doesn't mean it doesn't work. So assume the problem is with your voice if it doesn't behave. If that is the case, then there is nothing I can do, as I can't fix your voice.

Open the console to see what you are saying.

thats the problem with these things, early morning voice sounds different to night voice and so on.

i have a cough atm so my voice will sound different tomorrow

then i'll have sundays voice which is waaaaaaay different


like i say i've yet to come across a perfect working one.
