1 Year anniversary

We are about to hit our 1st year anniversary, does anyone have any ideas on a plugin that I might employ to celebrate this?

First off, congratulations on the 1 year anniversary, theledge !!

I'm not sure of a plugin or code you could use to celebrate this achievement on its own. But what if you used a combination? You could use Lynx 's One This Date plugin to announce the date (it would only show ON the date though), then use the News Feeder to announce the celebration for a longer time.

Something I think would be really cool would be to have a celebration theme. You could request for one in the Request a Theme board or make one yourself which I'm sure your members will appreciate. Or perhaps one of your members has an affinity for making themes. If you trust them, you could certainly work something out.

If you want something more interactive, you could set up a contest for your members or another sort of event to celebrate. Art or advertising. The tricky thing there is any sort of prizes you may wish to offer with them with a contest. I'm not familiar with your site, so I couldn't recommend much in terms of prizes, which aren't even required - more of a perk. Bragging rights are good.

Well, this isn't exactly what you had asked for but I hope it helps you and your community celebrate this great accomplishment.

Thanks, I have decided to do a competition and got some mousemats printed as prizes, they are going to love me down the post office LOL, our members are at every corner of the planet.

I know this might be a little thing, but to celebrate by shooting fireworks on your main page is fun. There's a plugin that I like to use where I shoot them off on New Years Eve and Fourth of July. My members love it.

Just a thought.
