One quick question, I know you made the "On this date" plugin, but I seem to be using the General notices plugin for the same thing. Is this a good idea or is there something I should know about like..... will there not be enough space allotted for all of the content info for the whole years worth of notes? Should I really be using the On this date plugin for that stuff?

You really have done a good job. Thanks for your hard work. I'm just hoping to use your plugins in the way you know is best.

The On This Date and General Notices plugins are basically the same thing - except that the GN plugin has more preset title bar titles as well as being able to have a custom title bar title. OTD plugin only allows for On This Date or On This Day in the title bar.

As you had mentioned using one for birthdays, OTD would probably be more suitable (imho) for something like that. It all really boils down to personal preference.

I'm glad you're finding uses for them though.

As P̌̓aͧś̀t̀u͒le͆o͂2̀3̃̓ said above, though, space for events would be about the same for all of them (OTD, GN and GN Companion). The biggest factor would most likely be the size of the event descriptions. Even then, you should be able to add quite a few events in (in any of them) before space becomes an issue.

The Companion was basically done as a request - as someone wanted 2 GN's to run - 1 for Members and the other for Staff.

Just as a note, Skidjit, I noticed you've still got version 1.0.0 running. Newest version is 1.0.1. However, you should be fine with 1.0.0 if you want to keep that. The new version just fixed the title bar description in the UI and removed all remaining hard-coded padding / spacing.

Update:

Version 1.0.2 has been submitted to the library (it's not approved yet - as of this post).

V1.0.2 adds a new option in the Settings tab: Container
This option will allow you to set it to Container or HTML. If set to "Container", the plugin operates as it does now - putting your events inside of a container. If set to "HTML", no container or outside formatting is used. Only formatting that may be within the Event Description field will get processed. This was added by request. It can still be targeted with the class of msg-gn for customization.

Also note: If set to HTML, the Title Bar Display, Custom Title Bar and Date Placement options are ignored and not used. The Hide, Multiple Events and No Event Today options will still work when set to HTML.

I'll post here (and update my first post) when the update has been accepted into the library.
