Generating Revinue from my forum?

Hello,

I'm curious as to how one would collect revenue from a PB forum? I've founded www.Gaming.Boards.net in 2005 and have spent money on domains to redirect, teamspeak servers, member gifts, ad-free, advertising, etc. But I receive nothing in return .. just wondering if this is possible, and how?

Is VigLink the only way? Does anyone have any experiences with it? I haven't earned a cent.

Since you're paying for ad-free, you could always place ads on your site through programs like Google Adsense.

This is the error I'm being prompted with while trying to setup a AdSense account with my forum.

I also own GamingBoards.net , GamingBoards.co , and GamingBoards.info

But am unsure of how it would work if I'm using a URL that only redirects to Gaming.Boards.net.

Any ideas?

It seems to have worked - but hasn't given me any confirmation as of yet.

The problem is that your forum is a subdomain of boards.net. You would have to purchase an actual domain. I am not sure if proboards allows you to purchase a domain name through them or if forwarding the domain to your proboards form would work though.

I own GamingBoards.net , GamingBoards.co , and GamingBoards.info .

Just not sure how the AdSense would be set-up to work properly if the Domain being used for the Ad's is actually just redirecting to the sub-domain: Gaming.Boards.net

I was thinking just add GamingBoards.net - then add the code as per usual. But am not 100% sure, as this is my first time actually making an attempt to generate profit online.

Okay but what about the real address of Gaming.Boards.net ?

That would go in your Global Header. Once all three custom domains are registered, you should be able to run ads on your forum gaming.boards.net.

Also: Would I post all 3 codes into the Global Header?

I posted the code it gave me into the Global Header after entering GamingBoards.net - Not seeing any Ad's as of now, unless there is a waiting period. -Still have a feeling I may be missing something

Off-Topic: I ran a SEO scan and THESE are the results. I'm trying to fix what I can, but I'm assuming things like the robots.txt file are out of my control? Is anyone able to give me some more information on the results they see? Thanks!

The reason this isn't working is that you are using a redirect to get to your forum with your custom domain names, thus your pb forum is not the primary domain for adsense.

If you want to use this for your forum, you would need to choose one of your custom domains, and have that name linked to the pb forum by using the Custom Domain feature. Admin > Upgrades > Custom Domains.

Then your adsense code you put on the forum and set up should work.
