Randomize News Feed?

Is there a header or footer I can put in the global header/footer that would randomize the news feed?

Random News is due for an upgrade to have it change after a setTimeout rather than just page change. The time delay would be an option for number of seconds before the next one displays. I'll see what I can get done with it this week.

It would appear that the OP doesn't seem interested in this, so I guess I can put this on the back-burner for now - as I've got other things on my plate at the moment.

True, but I had seen the OP log on a few times since my post regarding updating Random News - and this thread would have shown up in their participated list. *shrug*

EDIT: Just to be clear, though, I have no issues with upping the priority on this if there's interest. Otherwise, other priorities will come first.

It didn't show up for me. ..and yeah I am interested in this, but if you're not interested in doing it, that's okay. I know you have a lot on your plate. I'm using your random News plugin right now and that one is a great alternative to this. I know it doesn't switch between them visibly, but when you navigate the board, you see them change. So, if it's a hassle MSG, then no, don't worry about it. IF you get bored and want to do it, though, I'd love it. Thanks

Hi, Tiffy-Bean.

It's been due for an update, so gives me a reason to do it sooner than later.

I'm gone this weekend, but I'll see what I can get done soon. Should be no later than Monday or Tuesday next week - worst case scenario. I'll try to get it done before the weekend though.

Edit: I'll update my Random News Support Thread when I've updated it.

No Lynx. You're a saint for trying even if you can't get it to work. If you cant get it to work I won't hold it against you. As I said, I already like the plugin as is. I'd just like it better if it could do this one thing. I still think it's wonderful and appreciate all your hard work on it.

Thanks to Matej for his help, this has now been done. I'll post in my Random News thread once the update is accepted into the library.
