To answer the question, I miss Avtar, Surf and Renegade. Not so much as members, but as people I use to talk to. I guess I miss the AIM chat at its best more than anything.

It would be nice to know what happened to her but ultimately I think you're right--she left for a reason and we shouldn't put our desire for closure above our respect for her privacy. I do hope she's in good health and enjoying life whatever happened.

I miss Avtar too (although keep up on FB with him) and Rene. Haven't heard Surf's name for ages! Along those lines I miss Banjo as well. I spoke to him not too long ago (well, maybe within the last year) when he last came on.

I kind of feel these threads are harder to answer with the dawn of social media because even though I miss people like Nacht and Super Samio I know I can open a Facebook chat and be talking to them within a few minutes, but I do miss posting alongside them.

I hope I'm not bringing back this thread from the dead as such, but heck - just opened up my notifications and saw this. Touched that people still think of me and "miss" me, although most of those who did mention they miss me, think I have you on Facebook either way.

I understand though - it's the sense of community. While I still see Helen on Facebook, it's just a "I know what she's upto" more than keeping in touch. The ProBoards chat was one thing I had time for back in college when I used to essentially live at my computer, not though with work and what not even though I do still spend a fair amount of time in front of a screen there's just a lack of... something.

Yes mate, still on there but very very rarely actually use it. A few of us are still active on OTW if you feel like stopping by for a catch up with your old crew.
