I miss Enchant and why hasn't Enchant been on ProBoards Support in a long while?

I used to talk to Enchant on AIM, would have been around ten years ago now that I started talking to her. In 2008 she suddenly disappeared and I've never spoken to anyone who knew what happened to her. If I recall, the staff on her old forum couldn't even get in touch with her. I know she had some health issues the last time I spoke to her in 2008 so I hope that wasn't the reason she ended up leaving. I don't know if any of the staff here know what happened to her but if they do I suspect they're not allowed to say as people have been asking where she is pretty much since the week after she left.

When I was still mod, staff didn't know either. I think someone found an address linked to a domain she had registered, and I considered writing, but I wasn't sure if that would seem weird to whoever got the letter, especially as this was a few years after she went missing.

To answer the question, I miss Avtar, Surf and Renegade. Not so much as members, but as people I use to talk to. I guess I miss the AIM chat at its best more than anything.

It would be nice to know what happened to her but ultimately I think you're right--she left for a reason and we shouldn't put our desire for closure above our respect for her privacy. I do hope she's in good health and enjoying life whatever happened.

I miss Avtar too (although keep up on FB with him) and Rene. Haven't heard Surf's name for ages! Along those lines I miss Banjo as well. I spoke to him not too long ago (well, maybe within the last year) when he last came on.

I kind of feel these threads are harder to answer with the dawn of social media because even though I miss people like Nacht and Super Samio I know I can open a Facebook chat and be talking to them within a few minutes, but I do miss posting alongside them.

Other than the odd random Facebook comment and maybe an annual hello, I've lost contact with the people I listed for the most part.  When I do talk to Rene, we can be talking for ages, but it doesn't happen often now. I miss the old community here, because I feel that with a lot of people (particularly some of the old chat regulars who I haven't kept in contact with) that it was what brought us together and what we had in common.

Yeah, in terms of this community I don't miss single members as much as I miss the sense of community as a whole back then. People came and went but it feels like there's been a complete shift over the past three or four years to the point where only a few people who were around then remain active. Not neccessarily a bad thing and I hate to be overly nostalgic, but I do miss it and am probably complicit to some degree myself for disappearing for a few years. I remember a period where my name used to appear in this kind of thread.

I miss everybody since I hardly talk to anyone here much anymore. I've been busy. I pop in once in awhile to see how things are going, but I don't see too many members I know. That or everyone changed their display name.

That's the crux of it for me - people like Avtar, Naomi, George et al aren't here anymore (or less often) but I know I can speak to them on Facebook/Twitter/Snapchat/Instagram/insertsocialnetworkhere and speak to them...it's the sense of community I miss more.

I think Zar still floats aroundas a different name but I miss more how this forum was with Kapt as Global mod, denial as Global Mod with Ross. I also miss how some of the admins were more active there for a while but I guess everyone got so busy and have to deal with work more than posting.

I miss quite a few that has been mentioned. There are only a few originals. And it seems like 7-10 people only visit each day. I could be wrong. I've been getting less active with each day that goes by. With either work or home life. Or sleeping.
