I decided to use an old menu I did that is fairly similar instead of writing from scratch. I just got started so I have a lot to do with positioning them and other stuff but this is what I have so far:





I rounded up the font-awesomes except can't find the square one so just used an envelope for the pm's (maybe you or I can find that later). The thing I'm not sure I can do it having the world bring up notifications although I have it set now to show stuff with a drop down and also not sure about the brush so they can choose a theme although there may be a plugin that might allow me to do that. And if I understand you right, you want the text MODCP just gone for everyone who isn't a member? Also wasn't sure what you wanted in the drop down under MODCP so just have what I had in the old menu.




That's all I have time to do today and again, anyone else wanting to do this, feel free.

I think id want the MODCP text there for only certain groups or if i choose people if thats possible!

Well, I came to a grinding halt. I'm just not javascript savvy enough to figure out how to get notifications or pm's to show in the drop down list. I can't even get the globe to link to a users notifications directly. The best I can do is just show how many notifications or pm's the member has (above or below the symbols)and make them clickable to take you to your profile/pms and you already have that in your regular menu so no point in that. Also I checked out the theme changer and although it works, there is no way I can move it into this menu.

So I'm at a loss. This might have to go into plugins. I'm tagging Chris as he is an expert coder and maybe he can give some advice.  Chris, if you have a chance, could look this request over and give me an idea if this needs to be a plugin request because I'm not sure what it will take to get the pm's and notifications to list in a drop down or if it is even possible.  Thanks.

If you are talking about making notifications available on every page it would not be possible at this time. Using set on with a key would be shotty and not 100 percent show things all the time. That is why interests notifications does as much as it can but not pms and post notifications.

No, that's o.k. I love doing this kind of stuff but unfortunately, my knowledge is limited.
