Forum URL: ukwoodfiredovenforum.proboards.com/Hi guys I have a real "stinker" of a problem. I have a banner ad at the top of my pages in the main header. I would like to add some text to "Kilnlinings" banner. I would like to add...."*subject to terms & conditions" directly below the "10% discount for forum members" line also in red. My big problem is I can't find my original copy of that banner ad with all the html coding in it. I've tried going into the Admin panel of the Headers and footers section but it only shows the actual ad....not the wording within it. Is there a way of opening up that banner ad.....somehow? to let me add the extra text as mentioned? The small amount of funds I get for displaying this banner goes to paying for extra storage of image uploads needed to keep my forum active. Any help with this would be truly grateful. Terry

Hi That appears to be an image, so you won't see the HTML in your admin area for what is actually in the image. You would need to modify the image file itself to add the additional content you want. I am not a graphics/image person, so i am not sure about being able to edit the image without the original file, so hopefully someone else may be able to help you with that.

Terry Hi cannyfradock The wording is added to the actual graphic. I could add that text to it but I'm not sure I can find the right font style to match. Edit: Does this look o.k.? storage.proboards.com/6132784/i/mPUWyhwEvf_PKjahHKeN.pngYou'll want to rehost the image. If you want me to tweak it a bit, I'll move this thread to the graphics board.

I would appreciate it if you could try. A similar style and size would do.I need to match the colour. I'm not sure if there is enough room for all the text. If not, *subject to terms would do. Many thanks Terry

Thank-you......that's perfect.
Please excuse my ignorance......I'm not lazy, just a bit petrified at messing with the html in my headers. Would you give me an idiots guide into re-hosting the new image and deleting the old one, then posting the new banner into my headers.....please.
I can c + p the new banner in a safe place for future use but actually putting it on the forum brings me out in a cold sweat. Can you help?

I can c + p the new banner in a safe place for future use but actually putting it on the forum brings me out in a cold sweat. Can you help? Terry I totally understand that fear. I was so that way too when I first started my ProBoards. For hosting: What you can do is just right click the image and "save as" to your computer in a place you'll remember and then go to your themes (Admin > Themes> Theme Manager>), hover over the theme (really any theme-doesn't matter) and select the image button that shows up and then scroll to the bottom and there is a place to upload the image. For deleting the old and adding the new. Assuming the code is in your global headers find this and replace the blue: <a href="http://kilnlinings.co.uk/" target="_blank"><img src=" i.imgur.com/VNY7KWH.gif" style="padding: 0px 55px 0px 55px" ;="" height="124px" width="370px"></a><a href="http://www.celticwoodfiredovens.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i.imgur.com/bZ6rp9V.png" ;="" style="padding: 0px 55px 0px 55px" height="124px" width="370px"></a>

That's absolutely brilliant Tumbleweed. Before I start can I say that the banner ad is in the main header and not the global header.....will this make any difference to your last post?

Terry Nope, no difference whatsoever. I'm going to go ahead and move this to graphics board since this is nearly resolved, just to move it out of support.

Tumbleweed
I couldn't find the solution using the the manager.....got lost as usual so I saved and copied the new banner. I then replaced the "blue" text as you suggested with the image address of the new banner and......hey presto...it works !!
Many, many thanks for your help.
Problem solved.
One more time.....many thanks
Terry
