Passing ownership of a thread to another.

I was wondering if its even possible to do this?  I also suck at explaining, and do better at examples.  So here it goes..

Example:  I make a thread, but then later on determine I can't handle the thread due to other responsibilities, and wish to pass the ownership to another member instead of them having to copy everything then posting it under their name.  Just a simple pass over. 

I would also like a payment option for this..maybe relying on the monetary plugin.  So if someone wants to buy the thread off you they can, or you can set the payment as zero to give the rp away for free.   

Maybe even have an option to do bidding?

Can this even be made?

Unfortunately that isn't possible.

As Matt said above, this is not possible. Posts are linked to user ID's and can't be changed. If someone is to "take over" a thread, they will have to do a copy and paste to have it post under their name.

Being an Admin won't help in this case. There is no thread on any of my forums where Member A posts and I can literally change that to have me as the person who posted it. If I wanted Member A's post to show as me posting it, I would have to copy the contents of their post, and make my own post. I can't just "swap out" their MP on that post with mine, because I didn't post it. If I'm wrong, please correct me - but I haven't seen where that is possible. I agree it could be masked, but that post would still belong to Member A.

I kind of have a creative solution to this.  You can use the NPC plugin to select a name from a list using the admin, which would change the 'ownership' of the post.  It won't be linked to the new person's member's page, but it would specify it has moved to a different owner.  As for the monetary, you can just make an 'item' in the shop that is purchasing a thread, and have them specify to admin which one and then use the npc plugin to switch it out.  I know it's not exactly what you want, but it is a work around that does what you want.
