Layout?

Hello I am new with the whole layout thing, I wanted to know how do I make the layout the way I want? I am new with the whole coding and I looked, and looked so far I haven't seen help on layout that I was looking for, or even similar.
( Unless I miss something?)

Anyway I want to get my forum to look like something like this; You know like not wide, just like a proper site. It be great if you guys have a code source that you could give me, or a link to something that could help me out.

As you can see, I moved your thread to templates as that seemed more appropriate then where you had it. 

To make your forum less wide, just go into your admin panel...Admin> Themes> Advanced Styles & CSS> Visual Editor> and there should be a width option. You can either set it in a percentage or pixel width: Like: 1000px   or 80%


Is there something else you want to change? The screen cap looks very generic with really no changes to the layout, so not sure what else you are wanting so if you can be specific, that would help me help you.

Tumbleweed Oh thankyou. :3, yeah I figured that out later on with widing my site.

What I mean is like how do I make my boards transparent?

And how do I make my members profile's look more interesting, like example something like this.

For a semi transparent or transparent forum, here a partial list of things you can change: (Added to the bottom of your style sheet)

Have you checked out the Template Library as well as the plug-in library for MP layouts and additions you can make? I'm not a big one on playing with mini profiles so can't really point you to any particular one that resembles the screen cap you posted.

Yes, that's what I meant and sorry I'm no help with the mini profile thing.
