Allows You to display the last shoutbox post anywhere on the forum.

Place this wherever you want the last shoutbox post to display:

I have installed this, but it seems to be about 20 shoutbox posts too late ... also seems to put "null" next to the post ... Thoughts? Thanks! Like the idea of this and would really like to make it work!

forum URL? Do you have a modified shoutbox template?

I was trying to use the HTML code widget to create a box on my home page where i would place the code from your plugin ...

I think the issue is how I run the shoutbox.  I run it with the most recent post at the top and the widget is set to pick the most recent post at the bottom of the shoutbox (I think) ...

The field is in my right sidebar "In Progress" section.
I have Shoutbox hide and Shoutbox show comments running.

how do i insert it? im not good with html

You can insert it into your headers/footers or the layout templates, wherever you want it to be.

Yeah it does seem possible that counseler's problem is the orientation of the shoutbox. When a user had their shoutbox orientation going from bottom to top, (an option of proboards) I had to redesign my plugin (shoutbox comments) to look at the posts in reverse.

I have this same "Null" issue.  Was a fix for this posted? I saw someone stating they'd rewritten the plugin but I don't know how to do such things

Sorry I'm just bummed because this is the third plugin I've installed that I've altered my forum to use only to have it not work properly AND have nobody respond in their support threads *sadface*

the "null" is due to the script attempting to grab the avatar next to the name which in non-existent in the shoutbox. i'll have to modify the plugin to check if the avatar is there.

Is there someway to make it "left-align"? It looks like it's centered. EXAMPLE

Nvm I figured it out. It's for the avatar and I didn't have the avatar working in Shoutbox.
