Banner question..

Hi, i was just wondering if it is legal to have ANY picture in your banner, other than like, porn and that.. Like, say i want a banner of... The titanic, great, but i cant have it because ive not made it. Can i still use that in my banner, or? 

That was just an example, i dont really want a banner with a massive boat in the middle of it..

No, you can't use any image. Your best bet is to do a search for "free" stock photos but still read the copyright rules/terms of use, as they still may have stipulations on how and where you can use their photos OR on some stock photos sites, each photographer/image creator may have their own specific rules. Other place may allow you to use their images if your site is not for profit. Others may allow you to use the photo with their watermark for free or pay for the image without the watermark. Just always read the fine print on their copyright rules/terms of use.
