There have been a few requests for a new graphic worm so here it is! There will be some changes here from the last graphic worm so we can hopefully adjust for the issues we had last time with turn order & completion.
CHANGES FROM THE LAST WORM:
This worm will be SHORT. I'm going to run this from June 24, 2016 - August 01, 2016. That way, hopefully we can do multiple worms even if they are shorter in length.
Themed Worm! I'm feeling in a really summery mood and I'd love to see what you guys think of when you think of "Summertime Fun"; also, I feel a theme might help with the unity of the worm and help it look like one long image instead of a series of small images.
I have revised the participation rules to avoid the confusion and delay from last time. The rules are listed below, so please read them carefully! If you have any questions, please PM Kami for clarification. I have also included a brief F.A.Q. to address the questions I received in the last thread / via PM during the last worm.
Work with the image before yours & be considerate of the next person. Remember, this is a collaborative effort so don't just focus on just your image -- work with the piece before, and make sure that your piece will allow for the next person to transition smoothly into their work.

PARTICIPATION RULES:
• Joining If you would like to continue the worm please reserve your spot with a post. From that reservation you have twenty four hours from the time of your post to complete an image, or someone else can take your spot. First come, first served so only reserve a spot if you have the time!
** this may be subject to change if we get a lot of participants, but I don't foresee that as being a huge issue based on the last worm.• Turns While there is no formal turn order, no back-to-back images for any one person, though! Make sure there it at least one other person between turns. • Images Please make your image 650x400 pixels, and save as a .png file. Do not use borders around your image. • Watermark You will be credited by name underneath your image with a link back to your profile here on support. No watermark is preferred, but if you'd like to have a watermark and/or your name on your piece please make it as unobtrusive & part of the image as possible. • Theme Please follow the theme as best as you can! The theme is open for personal interpretation so feel free to be creative! You can take the theme literally, or use a more abstract approach (such as summery colours or vectors, etc).
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Q: What is a graphic worm? A: A graphic worm is a collaborative effort by multiple users to create one very long, visually seamless image out of a collection of smaller images put end-to-end.
Q: How do I make my image seamless? A: There are several ways to do this, one being the flipping method. You can also take the end colour of the previous image and use it as the background colour or part of the background for yours. If you need help, please PM Kami for assistance!
Q: Where do I get pictures from to use in the worm? A: There are a variety of resources for this. You can check out the "renders" category on deviantArt, as well as render collection sites like Planet Renders. You can also use stock images, but renders (cut-outs) tend to be the easiest to work with. Please note that we are using the honour system: it is your responsibility that the images you use are available for use under public domain, creative commons, or fair use. Q: I don't get it, do you have any examples? A: Past Worms, hosted by VanillaOrchids : 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 // Past Worms, hosted by Kami : 2015 // other graphic worms for inspiration: duelistgroundz, otakuboards
