While Kami is away I thought I would try to help continue the worm for the time being. With that being said though, your piece doesn't actually go well with the previous image. I've recreated the worm page that Kami made and put in place the latest images, including yours, so that you can take a look and see what I mean. vanillaorchids.org/pbs5/
I made sure that the right side of my last image didn't have anything tricky in it so that it would be easy to continue the design. Probably the easiest way I can say to continue the gradient color is by doing a pixel stretch. Also, though it doesn't really matter if you darken your image, the edge should still match the previous image otherwise it's obvious where the previous image ends and yours begins and that's what we don't want. It should flow from one image to another without being obvious where the separation between them is.
Would you be willing to try fixing your image?
