This is so confusing. I had two proboards back in the early 00' and after a while I finally figured out some of the header footer coding and was able to customize my forums' skins to look really neat. The forums went dead for a few years and when I went back, everything in them was gone. Now this new system is in place and I can't figure this out at all. Before I would come to the help support forum and there were insertable codes with simple explicit instructions on where to include them in the headers and footers. But now, I don't see any codes to do the changes I could do back then. There are not that many plug ins compared to the codes we had back then. And I haven't got a clue how to do any of these codes now. It's so advanced. It looks like you have to be a computer programmer to do this stuff now. I'm trying to remember the difference in the global headers and footers and the main ones. But something I'm trying to figure out again. I had made custom buttons for my nav bars back then. I had them matching my different skin's images. I don't even know how to do that now. Is it even possible to make or to customize the menu buttons with your own graphics?
Also, I have been all over google for three days straight and I can't find replacement sets for the ubb code icons. There used to be so many graphics sites and places to get different colors and styled ubb code buttons. Now everything I see if for Aps, and phones, and social media buttons. I kept looking in the search here and nothing is coming up.
So my question I guess is if there are any more folder sets, ubbcode sets, sets to replace all the icons in this message forum system. I wanted to do a different set for each skin.. er theme I have now.

Hi, thcentral. Images used on your forum can be found in the Images tab of your theme settings. To get there (the shortcut method commonly used for the following would be something like: Admin > Themes > Theme Manager), click Admin, mouse over Themes at the top right (you'll see other options, such as: Settings, Plugins, Security, etc.). A dropdown will appear while moused over Themes - click on Theme Manager. This will take you to a page that shows all of the themes you have installed. If you mouse over a Theme's name in that list, some buttons appear - the first one is labeled Images. Click that Images button and you'll be taken to a page where all of the theme's images are stored. Here, you can replace images with your own, and even add some custom ones in the bottom section. Be aware, however, that: (1) Images are theme-specific. What you add / edit / remove (some cannot be removed) will only apply to the current theme you're working on. You can see what theme you're working on near the top in a dropdown box. (2) Each theme can only be 10MB in total size. Be aware of this when adding new images. To see how much space you have left, on the Theme Manager page, you'll see a Size column and a number for each theme - this is how much space that particular theme is taking up. The 50MB you see at the top (above the "progress bar") it the amount of space used out of the 50MB - which is the total amount used for ALL the themes listed on the Theme Manager page. (3) The per theme limit of 10MB cannot be increased. However, the total space you can have (50MB by default) can be upgraded. This would incur a monthly fee and can be found by going to Admin > Upgrades > File Storage. From there, you can increase the storage for Themes, Plugins and Attachments. Click the Increase Storage button to view costs (you can exit this page without actually upgrading - but you'll be able to see the costs associated with it). As a note, do not worry about increasing your Plugin space if you don't need to, or can wait for V6 to be released (no ETA date given yet). According to an announcement thread, plugins space will become unlimited (see notes in Michael Stone's post regarding unlimited). If you need further help, feel free to inquire. I hope this has been helpful to, at least, get you started.

Umm I think we're getting lost in translation somehow. I know where the images are in the images section in themes. I know how to replace the images that are already there with new ones. What I'm talking about is changing the navigation bar menu buttons with images like we could back in 2006. You know the bar with the words Home Search Members Profile. We used to be able to make those into buttons instead of the nav links that are there. I think we used to put some kind of code for that in the headers and footers back then. Like if I want to make a button that looks like a ruby and have the word HOME written in it in script and use that for the home link and do the same with the rest of the links and have a line of red rubies with the links on them going across the top under the banner image. Like that. But there is nothing in that place where then images are for replacement of those. Can we not do that now with this new forum system?
I also miss having the scrolling marquee news box at the top of my forum under the banner. I think I used to have to go into global headers to change the news when I needed to.
I also had the scrolling marquee affiliates box at the bottom of my board back then that had affiliate's link back buttons and a small section to the side of that where my site's link back buttons and bit of embed code were available.
Lastly, I was talking about having the ubbcode buttons that you see on the posting form or reply form replaced. I see where they are in the themes. Yes, those are the default ones. I'm talking about finding sites that have an alternative for those. Like for example, if my theme is black and green, and I want a glowing green set of ubbcode buttons instead of the default one's there. That's what I mean. I've been looking for days for ubbcode replacement buttons and can't find anything. I wanted replacement folder icons and the rest of them and can't find anything. I searched your archives here and there are plenty of people that have made them from back years ago but they're all dead links now. Sorry if I wasn't more clear when I initially posted.
