Animal Crossing Avatars

Hi!

May someone please make me some Animal Crossing villager avatars? I'd like them to be 90x150 pixels.

Please use transparent backgrounds.

For some ideas, here are some of Nintendo's official Animal Crossing villagers. Of course, I can't just use these though because they are copyrighted and I don't have permission. Therefore, I'm asking here! Thanks in advance!

I want to throw this out there, but Nintendo doesn't necessarily disallow fans to use their intellectual properties in fan works. Nintendo's policy states that depending on your jurisdiction, the use of their IPs may still be allowed (as long as they do not disparage or impersonate Nintendo in any way), so this would actually, in the capacity of ProBoards being a US company, be up to US copyright & fair use laws (some reading to get started, but please note that this is not legal advice as I am not a lawyer). :)

As a disclaimer this is not legal advice since I'm not a lawyer.

In general terms, free use allows for people to make derivative works (parodies, fan works, using clips from official video content, etc) and sometimes replicating works of other entities' intellectual property without seeking formal permission from the copyright holders, so long as these works do not generate profit, misrepresent the original creator(s), become created on a mass production scale and so on; some companies will specifically outline these terms, while others do not and instead rely on the users' best judgement / users seeking legal advice.

It is not as simple as saying what is and is not allowed because it entirely depends on the nature of the content you intend to produce, and if I gave specifics that would constitute legal advice and I don't want to be liable in case anything goes wrong.

Ah, yes. See, that is where it goes wrong. Somewhere along the way, I will probably make money from this forum. VLGlink, the YouTube account, and maybe even PayPal donations.

I had a feeling there was going to be some kind of copyright trouble, so that's why everything on my forum (logo picture, emotes, etc), are all made by me (except for the stuff made by ProBoards). This is why I want to stay safe, so that I don't get in trouble.

Therefore, I am asking for a graphics artist here to draw me some villagers.

if that's the case, you may still run into issues because fan art using nintendo's intellectual property are still subject to nintendo's terms. -- being able to draw fan art / franchise based art can be encapsulated under "fair use".

An artist drawing their own renditions of villagers would still be basing it off of nintendo's property so if you intend to monetise it might be better to look further into what would be acceptable under fair use & copyright laws.

Additionally, unless dragneel is going to draw for you, you would be better off commissioning an artist off of a different resource such as tumblr or deviantArt, as these types of design requests never get filled here.
