Not at all. The entirety of Facebook embedding is controlled by the code Facebook provides. When a post is embedded on our forums it's done using the same code you find when you click on the Embed option next to a wall post on their site. This has absolutely nothing to do with how our software interacts with theirs and entirely to do with their software displaying that particular post within their widget, and thus does not warrant us contacting them on your behalf. it's your embed button for christ sake brian not mine, either get rid of it because it doesn't work, or fix it. simple. you do what you have to bro.

What Brian is saying is that all the embed button does is inject the URL you provide into the Facebook embed code. ProBoards doesn't make it's own Facebook embed code, but use the one provided for by Facebook.

so if it doesn't work, it either needs fixing or disabled doesn't it craig ?
And why does it work in the 2nd post ? this means it's got nothing to do with facebook, because it works right ?
so the problems with probaords 1st post in a thread right ?
i'v tested the embed on another forum (not a proboards one) and it shows in the 1st post.

That's not quite how it works. Regardless of where it's embedded, it is up to FB to display the information. If it consistently, for every single post, did not work on PB's service there might be a problem with how they're using the embed function. However since it works in other instances, PB is using the function correctly. There's no reason to fix or disable anything when it's not a problem with how ProBoards is handling the issue. It seems that you are under the impression that if a service can be used on, or in conjunction with ProBoards, then ProBoards is able to fix any and all issues even if it's not their software and that simply is not the case.

Added to Kami post, i haven't followed this whole thread, so i am not sure what you mean exactly by this 1st post thing, other than a facebook embed never shows on the first post, but does in others? But i have just added a facebook embed to your first post in this thread, and it is showing. So could you clearly, but concisely give a run down of your findings, including relevant links, ie to the thread/post and the facebook url.

Why do you automatically assume it's a ProBoards bug, despite multiple posts stating that everything is functioning correctly on ProBoards' end?

I am not going to reiterate what has been said several times in this thread in response to this for yet another time, so its honestly up to you whether or not you accept the response Brian provided in that everything is functioning properly on ProBoards' end.

As stated before: just because it is or is not displaying on ProBoards service does not mean that the information being given to that display is in ProBoards' control.

@joecool111 every time the post loads the URL of the facebook post is injected into the EXACT SAME code. That does not change, so on ProBoads side, nothing is different from the time the embed does show, and when the embed does not show. So what stands to reason is that if the embed is intermittently showing than it is an issue at the source, ie, facebook.
That is not entirely ruling out scenarios where the embed may not show. If you could provide that information i asked for previously, it can be checked.
