Quote / Edit buttons on threads

So, I have styled my quote and edit buttons in the thread view. They work great when the account is eligible to edit the post; however, when I log into a separate account that doesn't have that kind of access, it messes up. The edit button goes away - as it should - but it messes with the fluidity of the design and causes things to become unaligned. Is there any way I can remedy this? Here is a pastebin of all the coding and here is a link to my site.

I have posted some screenshots of my dilemma in the hopes that they can explain it more than I can.

I KNEW it was something to the with the {if} tags but I just couldn't figure it out! That worked perfectly - thank you Chris!
