When building a plugin, there's a Forum Search option in the UI tab to where you can have it run on just specific boards (for example). However, I've noticed that on the Components tab, there's a Board component as well. What's the difference between these 2?
Thanks!

If you select a board within the components tab, you open an area that allows HTML, similar to the headers/footers of specific boards in the Structure area.
The Search option in the UI tab allows the forum's admin to choose which board(s) the plugin runs in.
So, if your plugin needs to be run globally, but has specific coding for boards that does not need to be run elswhere, use the Board option in the components tab, if you want to allow the forum admin to choose which board(s) to allow either aspects of your plugin, or the plugin in general, to run in, then use the Forum Search option.
