I'm aware that Ctrl+Z is a thing, but it's not possible to do that on mobile devices. Would it be possible to add an 'Undo' button that just does the same thing as pressing Ctrl+Z? I found a thread that partially does what I'm looking for here, but that's from 10 years ago and it doesn't work on V5. A few people on a site I manage have requested it since they often type up long posts on mobile and it's a pain to have to go back and undo everything manually if they make a mistake. I haven't been able to find anything so I'm checking here as a last resort before saying "sorry, but it can't be done."

i had a feeling i should have clarified that. i know that plugins don't work on mobile. on the site i run, the general consensus seems to be that the mobile version is just simply bad, so most people use the desktop version on mobile.
i wasn't requesting a plugin for the mobile version of the site. rather, i was requesting one for the desktop version since that's what most mobile users on the site appear to be using
and then there's the issue with v6. i didn't know whether i should just hold out till then, or if i should just go ahead with the request anyway even if it might be obsolete when v6 is out.

Keep in mind that according to several sources, iphone users have the shake to undo option and android users have the option of installing an app to get undo/redo functionality. I would think going that route would not burden all users by forcing their browser to download yet another plugin that then runs on every page just so it can tell them that they already have the feature and to please pardon the interruption and to go back to loading their forum. If they need feature it might be much more efficient for only those who need it to download and run the app on their phone rather than than everyone having to dedicate bandwidth and CPU cycles during every page load.
