Have you ever had to deal with forum raids?

If so, how did you deal with them?
Some people from another forum site I will not name spammed the main board of my forum site for 1 whole hour, calling the site cancer, insulting how the admins run the site, using VPN's, etc. It really annoyed me but I got it all cleaned up. I wasn't sure if I should try to improve the site or just ignore the spammers. I eventually just moved on. Has anyone else dealt with such a thing happening to their forum?

There isnt much you can do if they use VPN's , just band them globally and IP. Thats the most you can do.

You can install the Post Quarantine plug in. I had trouble and implemented this Plug in, you can set it that all guest posts must be approved before appearing on the boards. It has worked wonders for me.
