SOLVED. Yay! Fixed it myself, never mind! 
I'm using Smangii's Night vs Day theme, which I really love, and I love Smangii's work so it's been fun personalising it a bit (excuse the lack of credit box on the forum, I deleted it to move it to the other side, which you can see right now is just lorem ipsum.) I am the web developer staffer on the forum and I was tasked with doing a total apocalyptic style overhaul on the Night vs Day theme, so I have been working on that, and adjusting the colours to better suit the mood. Apologies if you're not a big fan of it, it's still in "alpha", I would say.

So, the issue I've run into is that I feel the middle section is quite plain. I want to inject a third banner header to the top of the forum, but I cannot make the code work as I am really not that talented. So I was trying to basically mock up a banner by copying the syntax of the other lines of code, but adjusting values I thought might put it at center top (above the body of the forum).
The reason I can't just make a default banner is that the left side img is the main forum banner. The right side is some where written in the CSS, but I definitely have to do something to the forum wrapper to make this work.
I would like to put an image at center top, above the forum body (only like the width of the forum by 400 or 300, just to add some extra pizzazz. Any tips? This is what my beginning forum wrapper looks like:
