The proboards dark theme is giving me a hard time with the subject line being white on white and thus unreadable. How do I remedy this?

The proboards dark theme is giving me a hard time with the subject line being white on white and thus unreadable. How do I remedy this? Try adding this to the bottom of your style sheet: (Change the 000000 to the hex color you want) .wysiwyg-area .subject_line input{ color:#000000!important; } In case you aren't sure how to find your style sheet go to: Admin> Themes> Advanced Styles & CSS> Style Sheet>

Thanks a ton! It worked! Perhaps include it in an update of the theme?

It's maybe due to the theme designer not considering customization possibilities by people. Ideally for a more robust solution you would want to find out the var that holds the input background color and apply the less function contrast.wysiwyg-area .subject_line input{ color: contrast( @forms_field_background, #000000, /** the darkest dark **/ #ffffff /** the lightest light **/ ); }

Is it possible to do this for all input fields? There are a lot of other places on the forum with the same problem, for ex. search.

input[type='text'], select, textarea{ background-color: @forms_field_background; color: contrast( @forms_field_background, #000000, #ffffff )!important; }
Some you might have to override manually, anything that is styled inline or has an ID , google search CSS Specificity
