Hi,
Apologies if this isn't the right board, but I'm curious if it's possible to create a type of code that depending on which member group the person is in, it will display a specific image for that group.

It is, but we'll need more specifics to be able to tell you the method of accomplishing this.
Where would you like this image to appear? (ex: bottom left of mini-profiles, next to member's display name on the whole forum, and so on) Be as specific as possible regarding the location, so that we can point you in the right direction (:

Ah! Thanks for the quick response, I was mostly thinking it would be apart of the mini profile, as for location I was hoping it would be something I could move around, but it would definitely only apart of the mini profile and not next to the name/worded member group

Hi, Apologies if this isn't the right board, but I'm curious if it's possible to create a type of code that depending on which member group the person is in, it will display a specific image for that group. do you know the stars you can use for member groups? this sounds to me you could just use the stars you see on the member group admin page. or am i misunderstanding what you want? replace the stars in the theme images tab with the ones that you want to use and that means you can pick any rank image or whatever for any group and if you put the settings to 1 star that one image will appear. and you can move it about too in the mini profile template (its suppose to be in there already, the code that makes the stars show up for a group, auto in every theme i suppose) and put it wherever you want it to appear meaning, you can replace the black star with your own image and put it up with group and replace the red star with another of your own and put it up with group 2 etc do you know where i am going with this?

Ah! Thanks for the quick response, I was mostly thinking it would be apart of the mini profile, as for location I was hoping it would be something I could move around, but it would definitely only apart of the mini profile and not next to the name/worded member group Okay! So basically if you to Admin > Structure > Layout Templates > Mini Profile (make sure to select the theme you want this to appear on, if you have more than one)
Add this:
{if $[user.group] == 1 <img src="image url here" /> {/if}
Wherever in the mini-profile you'd like it to appear.
If you have multiple user groups, you would turn it into an if/else statement
{if $[user.group] == 1} <img src="image url here" />
{elseif $[user.group] == 2} <img src="image url here" />
{else}
what someone without a member group specified will see
{/if} Repeat the 'if else' as much as you need. The red text -- edit this to reflect the member group # you want to be affected. EDIT: I would probably not use the member groups myself, because I actively use the member groups for their intended purpose. (: Up to you though!

You're welcome! You may need to put quotes around the group IDs -- if it doesn't work as-is, add the quotes!
